§ 14-127. Duties and powers of other officers.

(a)

Assistant chief. The assistant chief is second in the chain of command and shall assist the fire chief by performing any and all assigned tasks and delegated responsibilities.

(b)

Captains. The captain and EMS captain are third in the chain of command and shall assist the fire chief by performing any and all assigned tasks and delegated responsibilities.

(c)

Lieutenants. The lieutenant and EMS lieutenant are fourth in the chain of command and shall assist the fire chief by performing any and all assigned tasks and delegated responsibilities.

(d)

Secretary. The secretary shall collect records from all apparatus and from fire inspectors and organize and preserve this information as required by state law. The secretary shall maintain drill session participation records as well as other training records of individual firefighters, EMTs, or drivers.
