§ 20-29. Park permits.

  • (a)

    Required. Every person, pursuant to Wis. Stats. §§ 60.22 and 60.66 and this section, who desires to use a town park for recreational activities and recreational purposes shall seek and obtain a permit from the town. The permit fee shall be established by the town board, subject to amendment from time to time by the board. The permit shall be issued by the park commission prior to any person using the parks for recreational activities or recreational purposes.

    (b)

    Application. The application and permit shall designate the park in the town where the person requests permitted use. The permit may not be amended if the person desires to use another park in the town. The permit is not transferrable from one person to another. The application shall include, but not be limited to, the following information:

    (1)

    Name of the applicant.

    (2)

    The address of the applicant.

    (3)

    The residential and business telephone numbers of the applicant, if any.

    (4)

    The application date.

    (5)

    Dates of the requested permit.

    (6)

    The time for the commencement of the recreational use and the time for the termination of the recreational use.

    (7)

    The park and area of the park desired for recreational uses.

    (8)

    The size of any group, if a group application.

    (c)

    Restrictions on use. No person shall be issued or reissued a park permit in the town, until the appropriate fee has been paid to the town clerk-treasurer. All checks shall be made payable to the town and deposited into the appropriate town accounts.

    (d)

    Access for inspection. All persons issued a park permit in the town shall allow physical access of the permitted park site by agents or employees of the town for inspection purposes at all times.

    (e)

    Compliance with park rules. All persons issued a park permit shall comply with all rules of conduct established for the town parks.

    (f)

    Maintenance fee schedule to be established. The board of recreation shall establish a reimbursement fee schedule for maintenance and custodial services required as a result of the issued permit.
